The past decade has witnessed tremendous progress in the diagnostic
and therapeutic approaches to malignant lymphoma as well as in
understanding of the underlying molecular pathogenesis. Optimal
treatment strategies are now based not only on accurate diagnosis
but also on thorough evaluation of clinical and molecular risk
factors. Even more importantly, molecular targeted approaches have
been shown to be effective in the treatment of distinct lymphoma
subtypes. Against this background, clinical management of
especially the rare lymphomas remains a challenge for the general
oncologist. This book provides a comprehensive overview of current
treatment strategies in these rare lymphoma subtypes. Experts in
the field from around the world describe the histomorphology in a
clinically relevant manner, consider the role of risk factors in
detail, and discuss the spectrum of therapeutic approaches. Special
emphasis is placed on the translation of molecular science into
clinical care, and a disease-specific algorithm is proposed for
each entity. This book will prove an excellent resource for both
experienced and inexperienced practitioners.
Essays on key Baptist leaders throughout history Baptists lack a
single central figure in their orgins that lutherans, Reformed,
Presbyterians, and Methodists have with Martin Luther, John Calvin,
John Knox, and John Wesley. Additionally, Baptists focus so heavily
on the Bible for authority and key beliefs or practices like
religious liberty, social justice, missions, and preaching that
sometimes Baptists and other Christians forget the significant role
that people play in forging and promoting those ideas and
practices. This book seeks to address this shortcoming by providing
an introductory text of Baptist biographies. Certainly shorter than
a full-length biography but definitely longer than an encyclopedia
article, this sampling of key Baptist leaders through the years
view the story of Baptists through a biographical lens while
linking these women and men to a key Baptist distinctive. A short
suggested reading list is added at the end of each chapter to
enhance further study. Highlighted Baptist leaders include: Thomas
Helwys, John Clarke, Benjamin Keach, Anne Dutton, Shubal Stearns,
Isaac Backus, Dan Taylor, Andrew Fuller, John Leland, William
Carey, Lott Carey, Adoniram Judson, J. Gerhard Oncken, I. T.
Tichenor, Robert Cooke Buckner, Charles H. Spurgeon, Lottie Moon,
E. C. Morris, E. Y. Mullins, Walter Rauschenbusch, Helen Barrett
Montgomery, George W. Truett, William Owen Carver, James Henry
Rushbrooke, Nannie Helen Burroughs, B. B. McKinney, Thomas Buford
Maston, Herschel H. Hobbs, Henlee Barnette, and Gardner C. Taylor.

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), an agency of the Department of
Defense (DOD), supplies more than 8,000 different items ranging
from uniforms and body armour to tents and canteens. Military
uniforms are procured through competitive contracts. This book
provides an overview of military uniform assessment and
procurement.
In this eight-week study, Michael E. Williams explores James, 1
& 2 Peter, 1, 2, & 3 John, and Jude not only with a keen
theological eye and a pastor's heart, but also with the imagination
of a poet and master storyteller. The Bible stories come alive and
are connected to everyday life in a ways that help us see the
workings of God in our lives. Easy-to-follow, step-by-step
suggestions for leading a group are provided, as well as questions
to facilitate class discussion. Immersion, inspired by a fresh
translation--the Common English Bible--stands firmly on Scripture
and helps readers explore the emotional, spiritual, and
intellectual needs of their personal faith. More importantly, they
ll be able to discover God s revelation through readings and
reflections."
The Semiconductor Industrial Hygiene Handbook provides a
comprehensive review of the primary industrial hygiene topics
relevant to semiconductor processing: chemical and physical agents,
and ventilation systems. The sections on electromagnetic fields
(EMF), odor investigations, ventilation systems, and ergonomics,
are specific to the semiconductor industry. The book also has
excellent chapters on newer industrial hygiene concerns that are
not specific to the semiconductor industry: ergonomics, indoor air
quality, personal protective equipment, plan review, and records
retention. While much of the information in these chapters can be
applied to all industries, the focus and orientation is specific to
issues in the semiconductor industry. An extensive bibliography is
included for the reader who wants more in-depth information. This
comprehensive book provides the latest information on semiconductor
industrial hygiene topics, and is an invaluable single source of
information for the industrial hygienist, researcher, facilities
engineer, or semiconductor environmental health and safety
professional.
More Witnesses to the Baptist Heritage continues telling the story
of the rich and often overlooked diversity of Baptist life. In this
sequel to Witnesses to the Baptist Heritage, Williams focuses again
on characteristics that represent Baptist key beliefs and ideals
such as religious liberty, missions, and social justice. This
volume introduces short biographies of twenty-four more Baptists
that will challenge, encourage, and inspire Christians regardless
of their denominational tradition. It will also help readers to
realize that Baptists fill a much broader and deeper place in
history than unfair stereotypical descriptions of Baptists of
earlier years have given. At the same time, readers will not only
find out more about Baptist ideals but also learn the stories of
the diverse women and men who witnessed to the Baptist heritage.
Written with students, pastors, and lay people in mind, scholars
and historians will discover valuable introductions to significant
Baptists who may be studied at greater length and in grander depth.
A short, suggested reading list is added at the end of each chapter
to enhance further study. Highlighted in this volume are Obadiah
Holmes, Thomas Grantham, Anne Steele, Ann Hasseltine Judson,
William Knibb, John Mason Peck, Emily Chubbuck Judson, William J.
Simmons, Fannie Exile Scudder Heck, Henry L. Morehouse, Hannah
Marie Norris Armstrong, Augustus H. Strong, John Clifford, Virginia
Broughton, Leslie Lee Gwaltney, Clarence Leonard Jordan, Joseph
Martin Dawson, Fannie Lou Hamer, Eric Charles Rust, Prathia Hall,
Cora Anne Davis, Addie Davis, William J. Reynolds, and Glen Harold
Stassen.
Taking significant events in Baptist history, the writers tell the
amazing Baptist story of the voluntary approach to the Christian
faith in popluar, nontechnical but appealing ways. The
intentionally brief chapters are, for the most part, void of heavy,
historical notes. Designed as an introductory study for students,
laity, and parish ministers, more advanced students will also
benefit from a close reading of this text. The book is arranged in
chronological order so that the Baptist saga can be understood as a
continuous narrative. Written to honor the important historical
writing of H. Leon McBeth, the book celebrates many of the themes
that occupied Professor McBeth throughout his career.
